As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  The Benton, IL. American Legion Post 280 and VFW Post 2671 is a combined Post where veterans who served honorably, during all eras, can join with their brothers and sisters in arms to strengthen our community. Regardless if you served during times of peace or war, overseas or abroad, we have a place for you. Happy New Year! Every Sunday is Karaoke with Rockin' Roy from 6-10pm. Bloody Mary's are $2 and Bomb Drinks $3.50. Every Monday is Free Pool. Domestic Beer is 3 for $4 and Natty's are 3 for $3. Every Tuesday Domestic Beer 3 for $4 and Natty's 3 for $3. Every Wednesday is the Auxiliary 50/50 Drawing at 7:25pm and the Queen of Hearts Drawing at 7:30pm. Beer Can specials $1.50. Every Thursday is Wing Night! All wings, hot or mild, only .50cents each. Also available; Chicken Strips, French Fries, Onion Rings, Deep Fried Pickles, and Cheese Sticks. Domestic Beer 3 for $4, and Natty's 3 for $3. Every Friday is Fish Friday from 5-7pm! Every Saturday is Margarita Day $2.50 each. American Legion House Committee Meeting on Tuesday, January 8th at 6pm. American Legion Commander John Metzger's birthday is on January 13th. American Legion Auxiliary meeting is on Monday, January 14th at 7pm.  VFW Auxiliary meeting is on Tuesday, January 15th at 7pm. VFW Post 2671 meeting is on Thursday, January 17th at 6pm. American Legion Riders meeting is on Monpday, January 21st at 6pm.

That the purpose of this Corporation shall be fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational: to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members; to assist worthy comrades; to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead; and to assist their widows and orphans; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States of America, and fidelity to its Constitution and laws; to foster true patriotism; to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom, and to preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies.
